Parish Records aren't just about registers of christenings, marriages and burials There is much more and can be as diverse as early census extracts, pauper examinations, bastardy bonds, parish apprenticeships, militia lists and churchwardens’ accounts. Covering several centuries they can provide real glimpses into rural village life but they can also provide rich genealogical detail and help to track movements of agricultural labourers and domestic servants.
