Sunday brought to a close the UK's biggest genealogy event, it was a brilliant weekend with plenty of family discoveries! We all look forward to seeing you again next year in 2014!

Samantha Womack to appear in the Celebrity Theatre
Samantha, who knew very little about her family history before her Who Do You Think You Are? episode, discovered more about her great-grandfather’s military past and great-grandmother’s life on the stage as well as her dramatic move to the States to pursue her career. She described her ancestors as: "Colourful, impulsive, tragic people who were in show business - none of them were quiet or tame, they were all huge characters". Samantha also revealed that she took a new sense of belonging from her discoveries and “a real sense of pride” in being descended from a long line of performers.
Samantha will be appearing at WDYTYA? Live on Saturday 23 February in the Celebrity Theatre at 10am and 11am. Tickets are free on the day but if you want to guarantee your place, you can book a ticket in advance for £2. You can do this when booking your ticket for the show.
