Sunday brought to a close the UK's biggest genealogy event, it was a brilliant weekend with plenty of family discoveries! We all look forward to seeing you again next year in 2014!
The biggest family history
event...In the world!
If you like Who Do You Think You Are Live, why not +1 us and let your friends know?
If you have ancestors who have imigrated or emigrated and are giving you the run-around, we'll help you look at best ways to trace them.
Located downstairs, our specialist exhibtors will be grouped together in our new Migration Zone:
A number of workshops within the Society of Genealogists' Programme and The National Archives Theatre will focus on migration, such as 'Finding English Emigrants to Canada and their Descendants' by John D Reid (Saturday, 2pm, SoG Regional Studio) and 'The British Overseas - Records in the UK' by Else Churchill (Sunday, 11am, SoG Regional Studio.)
In addition to that, our Keynote Workshop* is entitled 'Using the Internet to Research Abroad'. John Hanson will will be looking at ways to research those ancestors who lived abroad and his talk will be followed by a Q&A session with a distinguished panel of experts. Put your questions to Sharon Tomlin, Roger Kershaw, Simon Fowler, Maggie Loughran, Micheal Leclerc and Else Churchill.
Within the zone, there will also be a number of displays with information to help.
*Tickets to the Keynote Workshop cost £3 and can be purchased when buying your ticket to the show. Alternatively, if you have already bought your entry ticket, you are able to purchase a Keynote Workshop and other Society of Genealogists' Workshop tickets only at the bottom of our ticket page here.
