This week I've been slightly obsessed with celebrities this week – I've been researching the most popular episodes of Who Do You Think You Are? and working with the editorial and TV production teams to ensure we get the best celebrities to Who Do You Think You Are? Live 2014.
It's been great to have such a positive response from the management companies I have talked to; it's made me wish we could fit more theatre sessions in over the weekend!
We are looking and bringing something new to the session on the Friday of the show with the TV production producers joining the celebrity and giving us a 'Behind the Scenes' insight. This will let you into the secrets of how the programme is made and the trials and tribulations of the research process.
I am hoping you will be pleased with the celebrities we have lined up! Look out for announcements too.
I've also been working on the Heirloom Detective feature of the show – we have a new addition to the Who Do You Think You Are? Live team on the Thursday in the guise of Marc Allum. Marc has been a specialist on BBC Antiques Roadshow since 1998 and regularly writes for our magazine Homes and Antiques. We are excited to have him on board and we are sure he will offer you lots of great information on your family heirlooms. For those regulars to the show - don't worry, Eric Knowles will be attending the show on Friday and Saturday.
I'm off to write my letter to Santa, I've worked really hard this year so I'm sure to be in for a fab gift – maybe tickets to Who Do You Think You Are? Live?
Have a great Christmas!
