The Halsted Trust is a UK charity that exists to advance and preserve the education of the public in the study of and research into family history, genealogy, heraldry and local history through one-name studies, in particular with reference to people with the surname of Halsted. After its very successful 2009 international genealogical conference, in September 2013 The Halsted Trust will be hosting Exodus: Movement of the People a conference for all family historians and genealogists interested in Migration To, From and Within the British Isles. Sponsored by findmypast UK, the Society of Genealogists, the Guild of One-Name Studies and the Family History Show, this residential weekend conference will be the premiere UK family history conference.
