Society of Genealogists' Workshop Programme

The Society of Genealogists, supported by TheGenealogist.co.uk, run an extensive programme of workshops by leading genealogists over the course of the three day show. Free to attend, you'll be able to choose from a vast number of subjects, for instance: different research techniques, how to record your findings and using parish registers.

This year, we have introduced SOG Studio 4 - an entire stream of workshops devoted to subjects around World War I. As part of our commemorations, you can hear talks about serving in the Royal Navy during WWI, the little known Battle of Noracz in 1916, British Civilian prisoners of war in Germany and family life during wartime.

The full workshop timetable for 2014 will be available to view here.

Don't forget the Keynote Workshop* for 2014 will talk place every day at 1.15pm - 2.30pm in the Celebrity Theatre.

Tickets are free* to collect on the day from the Workshop Ticket Desk, located in the upstairs gallery. Please note, all workshops are subject to capacity. Please note, in case of unforeseen cancellation, an alternative workshop will be offered.
